Boo-wow! Do you have a Frankenstein Canine – or a Scaredy Cat?

Costume-wearing pets and kids are invited to participate in our Scary Tails Trick-or-Treat, from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, October 29 at my White Lake Pet Supplies Plus at 6845 Highland Rd. and Sunday, October 30 at my Bloomfield Twp. Pet Supplies Plus store at 2057 S. Telegraph Rd.  There is no charge to participate in the event.

Best pet costumes will win $50, $20 and $10 Pet Supplies Plus gift cards for first, second and third place at each store.    

All kinds of pets are invited to Scary Tails Trick-or-Treat, but they must be kept from getting loose.  Large pets must be on a maximum six-foot leash;  smaller pets can be paraded in wagons, pet strollers and pet carriers, which can also be part of the pet’s costume

Maybe they are wishing for a new doggie bone – or mounds of catnip. Who knows what your pets are dreaming of under the Christmas tree – but they will have a chance to share it all with Santa at our Christmas open houses!   (See schedule below!)

So get on your dog’s or cat’s holiday best for a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  For a $10 donation, you can get your pet’s Santa pictures on a thumb drive or you can choose one photo print for a $5 donation. All donations go to Cat Tail Acres Sanctuary in Armada, Elizabeth Lake Animal Rescue in Waterford and Semper Fidelis Pet Rescue in Clarkston.

Christmas open houses are being planned on these dates at these Pet Supplies Plus locations:

Saturday, December 12 –  Noon to 4 p.m.,  6845 Highland Rd. in White Lake Twp.

Friday, December 18 – 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., 8020 Cooley Lake Rd. in White Lake Twp.

Saturday, December 19  – Noon to 4 p.m., 2057 Telegraph Rd. in Bloomfield Twp.
