Category Archives: Pain in pets

We had a great turnout for our Pawsitively Healthy workshop on Pain doesn’t have to hurt.

Dr. Andrea Putt, DVM, of Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital, provided an excellent overview of how to tell if your dog or cat is in pain, the difference between chronic and acute pain, and the latest treatments for preventing and treating pain in pets.

She also talked about what NOT to give your pet including human over-the-counter pain medications – many of which can be fatal to pets.

Thank you Dr. Putt for the great insights and for taking the time to answer individual questions from the audience!

Be sure to follow my blog for information on our NEXT Pawsitively Healthy workshops in January and February 2016.
