If you have a pet that is recovering from an injury, an ill pet, or older pet tha is in pain, pet products manufactures have come out with a wide variety of items designed to make pets more comfortable at home. We will be sharing information on a number of these products at our Pain doesn’t have to hurt workshop on Thursday, November 19 at my White Lake (Highland Rd.) store.
In addition to veterinary care, pets in pain often benefit from small changes that you can make to their environments at home. These products do not replace veterinary care, but WORK IN CONJUNCTION with what your veterinarian may prescribe. Some of the products that we have found that can make pets more comfortable include:
- Beds with extra padding and sleeping pads
- Steps and ramps to help pets access furniture and vehicles
- Heating pads – great for aging pets
- Oral supplements to soothe painful joints
These products can be found throughout our store. Be sure to ask one of our team members – they will be happy to assist you. It helps to know your pet’s size and weight so that they can help you choose products that will be most appropriate to your pet.
Be sure to check back for more Pawsitively Healthy workshops! Upcoming topics include kidney disease, arthritis, thyroid disease and more.
